With VARITECTOR, we offer a comprehensive portfolio of reliable lightning and surge protection components for the protection of energy systems and installations in building, industrial and process applications. Type III arresters (end-device surge protection) reduce the overvoltages to a voltage level that is safe for the electrical end-device.

They are installed directly in front of the end-device to be protected in lightning protection zones LPZ 1 or LPZ 2 and have a protection level < 2.5 kV.

Complete and attractive product range

Type III surge protection products are available in rated voltages of 12 V, 24 V, 48 V, 120 V and 230 V. Products are available for installation on TS 35 or as flush-mounted installations.

The arresters are tested in accordance with IEC/EN 61643-11 and are suitable for protecting terminal equipment.

VARITECTOR PU III

VARITECTOR PU III supports surge protection for end-devices as part of a comprehensive protection concept. Rail-based mounting installations are especially important for industrial applications. For this reason, the housing design has been adapted to the standardised installation dimensions.

Type III surge protection as flush-mounted installation

VARITECTOR PU III SO LD / +A

The compact VARITECTOR PU III arrester is suitable for protecting end-devices and is certified according to IEC/EN 61643-11. The AC/DC protection is installed near the equipment to be protected. Can be used as single-port arrester when nominal current is greater than 16 A.
